WARNING: Effectively CLOSED to foreign investment. While the KBLI data shows this as TERBUKA 100%, the Advocate Law (UU 18/2003) overrides this. Only Indonesian citizens who are registered members of PERADI (the Indonesian Bar Association) can practice as advocates. No foreign national — regardless of PMA structure — can appear in Indonesian courts.

If you need legal representation in Bali, you hire an Indonesian advocate. If you're a foreign lawyer wanting to work in Indonesia, look at 69102 (Legal Consultant) instead, which allows foreign firms to operate through Technical Assistance Agreements. Several international law firms have Bali-based consultants who advise on cross-border deals — but they cannot step into a courtroom.
