The TTK requirement — the key staff credential
A Toko Obat must have a Tenaga Teknis Kefarmasian (TTK) — a Pharmaceutical Technical Personnel. A TTK is:
- A graduate of a Diploma III or Diploma IV pharmacy program (D3/D4 Farmasi or Analis Farmasi)
- Registered with local Dinas Kesehatan (holds STRTTK — Surat Tanda Registrasi Tenaga Teknis Kefarmasian)
- NOT the same as a full Apoteker (S1 Farmasi + Profesi); significantly easier to recruit and less expensive
A TTK earns IDR 3.5–5M/month in Bali — compared to IDR 7–12M for an Apoteker. This is the primary reason Toko Obat has a lower operational cost than Apotek.
