Perdagangan Besar Hasil Kehutanan dan Perburuan
🛒 Section G — Wholesale & Retail Trade
Perdagangan Besar Hasil Kehutanan dan Perburuan — wholesale distribution of forestry products and hunting/trapping products: timber (teak, mahogany, merbau, meranti), rattan, bamboo, non-timber forest products (NTFPs — resins, gums, essential forest oils, honey, medicinal forest plants), and products from legal hunting/trapping. **B2B wholesale only — not logging or production.** This code is for distributors who buy forestry products from licensed producers (IUPHHK concession holders, forest product processors) and sell to manufacturers, furniture makers, builders, craftsmen, and exporters. **Two critical compliance layers apply to wood products: SVLK (Timber Legality Verification System) for all wood, and CITES for protected species (rosewood, ebony).**

Step-by-step for PT PMA forestry products wholesale
- SVLK = Sistem Verifikasi Legalitas Kayu — Indonesia's mandatory timber legality verification system under Permenhut P.43/2014 and subsequent regulations
- Every wood product in your supply chain must have a valid SVLK document trail: V-Legal certificate from your supplier + your own SVLK certificate as a distributor
- As a wholesale distributor: obtain Dokumen V-Legal from your timber supplier; as your volume grows, pursue your own SLK (Sertifikat Legalitas Kayu) or S-LK certification from a KLHK-accredited verification body (LP&VI)
- EU EUDR compliance: from 2025, exports to the EU require additional deforestation-free supply chain documentation (EUDR — EU Deforestation Regulation); verify before contracting EU buyers
- Rosewood (Sonokeling / Dalbergia latifolia) — CITES Appendix II; all international trade requires CITES export permit from KLHK
- Ebony (Diospyros spp.) — CITES Appendix II
- Ramin (Gonystylus spp.) — CITES Appendix II
- CITES violation = criminal prosecution under UU Konservasi SDA + UU Kehutanan; fines + imprisonment
Post-issuance obligations
- SVLK document chain maintenance per transaction
- Annual activity reports to Kemendag
- CITES permit per export shipment for regulated species
- EUDR due diligence documentation for EU exports
MATCH_LANGSUNG — direct match from KBLI 2020. The most significant post-2020 development is the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) adopted in 2023 — effective from end 2025 — which requires deforestation-free supply chain proof for all wood products exported to the EU. Indonesia's SVLK/V-Legal system is being aligned with EUDR requirements but full compliance details are still being worked out.
Bali Intelligence
Bali's wood products supply chain — furniture capital of Indonesia
Bali and East Java together produce the majority of Indonesia's furniture and woodcraft exports. The Gianyar–Klungkung–Denpasar triangle is the epicenter:
Teak and mahogany furniture:
- Gianyar district has 2,000+ furniture workshops producing carved teak furniture, mahogany dining sets, and decorative wood pieces for export to Australia, EU, USA
- Most workshops are UMKM scale but source timber wholesale through 46207 distributors
- Premium teak from Java (Perhutani state forest plantations) is the dominant supply; Perhutani teak comes with SVLK documentation
- A timber wholesale distributor supplying 100 Gianyar workshops can move IDR 2–5B of timber monthly
Bamboo and rattan:
- Bamboo for Bali's boutique hotel construction boom: bamboo lodges, pavilions, decorative features — sourced from Java highlands, Kalimantan
- Rattan for Lombok-made furniture exported via Bali buyers; rattan wholesale is a growing PMA niche as global demand for natural materials increases
Import timber for premium furniture:
- Solomon Islands teak (superior grain), Papua New Guinea Kwila (merbau), Tasmanian oak for high-end custom furniture makers in Sanur and Seminyak
- All imports require API-U + SVLK-equivalent from origin country
- EUDR from 2025: EU-bound furniture must come with deforestation-free documentation — this is creating demand for traceable supply chains that PMA operators are well-positioned to deliver
SVLK in practice: SVLK certification for a Bali-based distributor is available through LP&VI-accredited verifiers. Cost: IDR 10–30M for certification + audit; valid 3–5 years. Without SVLK, you cannot legally export wood products or supply companies exporting to EU/USA.
